米カジノ界の巨人 Bally が映像機器サプライヤー大手の Planar Systems から同社のデジタルサイネージ・ソフトウェア事業である CoolSign のゲーム関連ビジネスを買収しました。
買収金額は明らかにされていませんが、Bally ではカジノのスロットマシンなどのモニターを制御している iView ソフトウェアと CoolSign システムとを統合するものと見られ、CoolSign がカジノにおけるデジタルサイネージシステムのデファクトスタンダードになる可能性があります。
ゲーム関連以外の市場に関しては、引き続き Planar Systems が CoolSign の販売を行います。
The deal, for an undisclosed amount, will see Bally integrate the CoolSign technology with its iView Display Manager, a system that lets casinos display networked messaging to players of slot machines, both on the screens of the machines themselves and on overhead displays.
